Dimenshot Endless Mode is a score-attack mode that pitches itself as "chain combos, and aim for the top score." Scoring is tracked on Steam Leaderboards split per difficulty tier (Easy, Medium, Hard), and the only documented combo mechanic is melee → scavenged firearm → melee, defined by the official store description. Detailed wave structure, scoring formula, and a separate Endless leaderboard have not been publicly described.

What the mode is
Endless Mode drops the level-based structure and focuses on surviving while pushing for the highest score. Scoring is tracked on the Steam Leaderboards with separate boards per difficulty tier (Easy, Medium, Hard).
What is publicly documented today:
- The mode exists at Early Access launch.
- Scoring runs are tracked per difficulty on Steam Leaderboards.
- The combo mechanic that drives it uses the same mid-combo weapon pickup system from the main levels.
Building combo chains
The store description's defined mechanic for combos: "seamlessly chain your attacks by combining them with temporary firearms scavenged directly from your fallen enemies." In Endless Mode, that translates to:
- Land melee hits to keep your health and your rhythm.
- Pick up the dropped firearm and burn its ammo to apply pressure.
- Swap back to melee the moment the gun runs dry or the enemy closes in.
Until Flexberg publishes a wave-by-wave breakdown or a scoring formula, treat the public mechanic as the only confirmed rule: chains come from melee-firearm-melee rhythm, not from holding one weapon. The Dimenshot weapons page describes how the two weapon classes work in current play.
How ranks show up
Per-level runs use letter ranks (S, A, etc.) per the "Game Ranking" Steam discussion (Oct 14, 2026), in which developer Iceberg confirmed a bug where an in-game 'A' rank displayed as an 'S' on the level select screen. The same v0.19149 hotfix list contains the related known bug: "Main scores sometimes doesn't shown on level buttons."
Status of the public display issues:
- In-game A can show as S on the level select.
- Some main scores fail to show on level buttons.
Both are display bugs; your run still records. See the Dimenshot score ranking page for what the S and A ranks mean and how they are tracked.
